The training school is located 35 minutes from the City of London by train and car. Wickford railway station is a 15 minute walk or 2 minute car journey. Barking Mad School is located within easy access of London via the M25 and A127.  The nearest Airport is Stansted.

Students will stay in self contained accommodation. The 'Hideaway' is a two bedroom, log cabin, situated beside the stables in the grounds of Hillside Cottage. The log cabin has two single bedrooms, lounge, diner, kitchen area with washing machine, microwave, cooker and fridge. Car Parking is available and bed linen is provided.  The Cabin has uninterrupted views over the beautiful Essex countryside and provides a tranquil and comfortable retreat at the end of an enjoyable day dog grooming.

Students can spend their free time enjoying and exploring all the local attractions. There is something for all ages and tastes. Ranging from popular night clubs, bowling alleys, a variety of different eateries and bars, country pubs, riding stables, 500 acre nature reserve, Hyde Hall , Art and Craft Centres and a fantastic Antique Shopping Village. The beach and all the entertainment of a seaside town is within a 20 minute drive.   Excellent local shopping facilities.
